A photo contest held in 2021 under the theme of “Magnolia, Adding the Scent of Spring” ended successfully.

The submission was open from March 29 to April 16, and all employees of HJ Magnolia and their families were eligible to participate. Among the 93 submitted photos, 11 were selected and held on April 27 (Tuesday) as an individual awards ceremony in which only the winners participated. For the contest, magnolia photos, taken only at HJM International Medical Center and Cheonwon Complex were allowed to participate.

The awards ceremony was held with only a minimum number of personnel participating due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dr. Jinwoo Lee (Otolaryngologist), the 3rd president of HJM International Medical Center since April 2019, thought regrettably to have only few magnolias nearby, although the name of the medical center is HJ Magnolia. Therefore, he's holding the magnolia tree planting event every year with the intent to build a magnolia town to live up to its name and held the photo contest this year. Starting with 200 magnolia trees in 2019, about 300 trees were planted in 2020 and 2021 with various kinds of magnolias.

A total of 11 people were awarded, including Gold Prize Rumiko Itagaki (Dept. 5 of Nursing), Silver Prize Youngdeok Kim (Dept. of Radiology), Hyunji Kim (Dept. of Dentistry), Bronze Prize Junko Nakii (Dept. 5 of Nursing), Heeyoung Choi (Dept. of Neurology), Geumi Lee (Dept. of ER), Encouragement Prize, Seungbin Choi (Dept. of Patient Affairs) and 4 others.

The winning works will be displayed in the 1st-floor lobby of HJM International Medical Center from Tuesday, April 27.
